Section 1 - Overview
As an overview, Module 1 focuses on the history of mosquitoes that are associated with vector-borne diseases important in the United States today, especially Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus. In addition, this module reviews how these species transmit disease and what factors support them. Module 1 lays the foundation for subsequent classroom and eLearning modules, and is required as a prerequisite for registering for the live Integrated Mosquito Management Training.

Section 2 - Ecology and Behavior
Module two will center on the ecology and behavior of the Aedes species. More specifically, this module will focus on the Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquito. Emphasis will be placed on understanding their native range and degree of invasiveness today in the United States.

Section 3 - Surveillance
Module 3 will specifically focus on the surveillance and trapping of the Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquito species. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the nuances of various surveillance environments whether it be residential neighborhoods, public facilities, or even an environment as small as your own backyard.

Section 4 - Control
Module 4 will focus primarily on control methods for Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquito species. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the nuances of control techniques and tools that can be used by mosquito management personnel in residential neighborhoods and public facilities. It also includes information regarding how individual homeowners can deter these species.
